Sour OG is a great strain for beginners looking to grow something a little different. This OG Kush and Sour Diesel cross has a complex mix of scents—skunk, spice, and of course fuel, with some hints of pine and lemon.
This cross of legendary Super Silver Haze and Lemon Skunk will definitely bring some lemon scents to your garden. Super Lemon Haze has some strong sativa in its genetics, so it likes slightly warmer climates with a little more humidity, but it is still versatile and can thrive in most places.
Its sturdiness gives it a large margin of error when growing, in case you forget to water or give it nutrients, or give it too many nutrients for that matter. Blue Dream grows well in many different climates, both indoors and outdoors and can handle cold nights.
Tried-and-true, Blue Dream is a classic and one of the most popular strains, for both consumers and growers. This cross of Blueberry and Haze originated in Northern California and is a dream to grow—it usually grows big and strong and has high yields of buds, likely a result of its sativa-dominant genetics. Be sure to scrog it to maximize yields.
This is a strong, sturdy plant that doesn’t need much attention, but be sure to give it plenty of space to stretch out—it grows tall, like parent Lemon Skunk. Scrogging always helps, but you’ll likely get solid yields even without it. SLH usually takes a little longer to flower, around nine weeks, another sign of its sativa roots, so you may need to be a little patient when waiting to harvest this one.
This strain can handle many climates, both indoors and outdoors, but it can take a long time to flower—more like nine or ten weeks. Regardless, GMO Cookies is a new standard that packs a punch and brings some great savory scents to your garden.
Growing weed is pretty easy, but some strains can be trickier to grow than others. Some are delicate and need a lot of attention or are prone to disease or mold, while others are sturdy and can handle missing a watering for a day or two. Also, certain strains have adapted to specific climates, so it might not make sense to grow one suited to warm weather if you live in a cold place.
Growing cannabis indoors has unique advantages and disadvantages. Cultivators have almost complete control over the environment, and can easily regulate light, water, and nutrients. However, space can quickly become an issue, especially when growing strains that like to reach rapidly toward the light source.
Growing cannabis indoors also helps weed lovers keep their herbal interest to themselves. Indoor grow tents with carbon filters will eliminate the stink and dramatically reduce the chances of facing any penalties.
Why Grow Cannabis Indoors?
After reducing the light cycle and triggering flowering, Northern Light will produce a canopy full of mature flowers in 8–9 weeks. Her dense flowers possess a respectable THC content of 18% alongside a complex palette of citrusy, earthy, fruity, and peppery terpenes.
Fortunately, breeders have tinkered with cannabis genetics to create varieties that are ideal for indoor growing. These plants remain short, and are easy to manage and train. They’re suitable for small grow tents, and some cultivators even go to the extremes of raising them in refurbished computer towers and cupboards for added stealth.
Our Northern Light strain descends from a premium cutting and features a completely pure indica genetic profile. Her bushy growth and medium size make her an ideal candidate for indoor cultivation.
Many experienced growers will not be surprised that we have included Northern Lights in this top 5. Northern Lights cannabis seeds are easy to grow. The yields from this plant can reach as much as 550 grams per m2 in a very short flowering period of just 7 to 8 weeks! That’s what we call super seeds. Moreover, the taste is appreciated by almost every cannabis lover. Haven’t tried Northern Lights yet? Then we advise you to do so!
The AK-47 autoflower is one of our favourite classic strains and one of the best indoor cannabis seeds. The AK 47 autoflower is second in this top 5, but actually deserves a shared first place. Thanks to its genetics (Thai Skunk, Mexican Sativa and Afghan) the AK 47 autoflower is known for its extremely high fungal resistance and high yield. Yield can be as big as 675 grams per m2(!). The genetics are very stable and easy to grow indoors. A failed harvest is therefore almost impossible.
Amnesia Haze is another classic strain and couldn’t be missing in our top 5 best indoor cannabis strains. The strain is worldwide known because of its very high THC level. Thanks to its properties Amnesia Haze is very suitable for indoor cultivation. The only “drawback” we can think of is the relatively long flowering time of 10 to 12 weeks. However, every disadvantage has its advantage. Due to the long flowering period the weed is extremely strong, the yields can reach 650 grams per m2 and both the taste and the smell are sublime. Keep this in mind, because if you’re sensitive to psychosis, it’s better to skip these weed seeds and opt for milder ones.
Northern Lights feminized seeds
Our Critical feminized seeds are probably one of the best cannabis seeds to grow indoors. And not without reason. Critical is very suitable for extremely small spaces as they do not grow larger than 80 cm. The strain is easy to grow, features a very short flowering time and yields are quite big. When pruned at the bottom, the buds grow at the top. In this way it is possible to place up to 16 plants per m2 which can result in a yield of up to 500 grams per m2.
Based on our experiences and customer reactions, we have drawn up a top 5 of indoor cannabis seeds. We have taken into account ease of cultivation and weed quality.
Last, but not least… Power Plant feminized seeds. You probably won’t find the Power Plant seeds in a Top 5 ‘indoor cannabis seeds’, but from our own experience we can honestly say that this is one of the best indoor cannabis plants. This marijuana seed has all the characteristics that an indoor grower wants. It features a relatively short flowering time of 8 to 9 weeks, an extremely high mould resistance, easy to grow, a short plant height (max. 90cm) and a yield of up to 550 grams per m2. Doesn’t this plant have any disadvantages? Hardly, it requires some knowledge of scrogging to control the plant height. But once you know how to do this, it is very simple. In short: what more do you want?
Growing cannabis indoors is becoming increasingly popular which is not surprising as it offers many advantages. You can grow all year round under constant ideal conditions so there is a good chance that you will end up with a cannabis plant with a good yield. However, not all varieties are suitable for indoor growing. And because there are so many different types of cannabis seeds, it’s often difficult to find them. Of course you also want to grow cannabis that meets your preferences. Think of taste, yield, effects and flowering time.
